Patriot's Owner, Ched Hargett, visited the Veteran's Home in Salisbury, NC this spring along with the men's and women's ministry groups from He's Alive Church to encourage veterans and play games with them. Most of them are wheelchair bound and aren't mobile enough to stand and play the games. So the games were adapted for them.
Tiffany Kneip, a PA for the Veteran's Home and also a member of the Women's Lead Team from He's Alive Church, commented that one of the vets had not smiled in two weeks. She caught him grinning while he was playing a game. Hargett participates in local outreach projects in Cabarrus and Rowan Counties throughout the year. He said, "It was an honor and a blessing to spend time with our Veterans. To bring joy to those amazing folks and help the staff was a special afternoon."
Hargett's Life Group from his church participates in outreach projects several times a year. He will be flying to Nicaragua this summer to serve on a mission team to help with some building projects.
